Life Transformation

Building Healthy leader

I reflect on the fullness of this trip as I write this on the way back from Asia. My heart rejoices because the Lord has enlisted us to do His work and be a witness to His wonderful transforming grace.

We conducted ConneXions  #1 (CX#1) and CX#2 leader training in HK to facilitate healthy leaders development. Everyone really enjoyed learning together. We had David and Marc (photo below), missionaries to Taiwan join us.They are committed to build healthy leaders in their international church in Taichung. Pastor Siu said that he was a prayer warrior during one of our exercises. He will be the lead pastor of a church plant in a few months. He said, “I will work towards building a 5C (Christ, Community, Character, Calling and Competency) and 4D (4 transformational dynamics) church.”

Challenging Assignment

Doug and I made a visit to a partnering church from creative access country (CAC) to follow up & to make mission plans for 2009. We were overjoyed to see all the leaders who attended the 2008 cross-cultural leadership camp had grown in their faith. Pang took on a challenging assignment to run a weekend camp with over 100 people and saw much fruit. Leaders from this CAC church (top middle) are excited to this CAC church (top middle) are excited to partner with us and be missionaries themselves. We will be back to conduct CX trainings with leaders from this church in Feb 09 and afterwards to meet with Americans, CAC and HK representatives to design 2009 mission employing the CX concepts. I am excited.

Forgiving each other

The Lord blessed our heart greatly on our last stop. We trained a full house of pastor leaders for a few days. It was a wonderful time to worship and learn. At the end, one of the leaders stood up and confessed to all about his wrongs and asked for forgiveness from his co-leaders. It was a moment beyond description. Everyone affirmed each other, and hugged each other with tears of joy. The Holy Spirit was doing a healing work through the training. One leader said, “they had the sweetest and most open community time on the last evening.” Everyone was encouraged and we were glad to take part and to witness His transforming power. What an honor! Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your prayers.
